All in all it was a wonderful experience. I'm already planning for next year. I hope to continue for the next couple years. Baylin has three more years at Bellview. I already have a kindergarten mom I'm eye balling to pass the torch onto. But who knows maybe children's theatre directing will be my new calling.
Plays I'm considering are Peter Pan, The Jungle Book, and the Wizard of Oz, but I'm still open to any ideas you might have. I plan on reading these stories this summer and seeing which one grabs me. I wrote Alice in Wonderland almost verbatim from Lewis Carroll's original story. Of course, there were whole chapters left out for time or practicality of production. But I enjoyed staying true to the author and not some other version, like Disney. Which unfortunately is the only clear view I have for these stories I'm considering. So I'm very much looking forward to reading these classic tales.
